IDEAL Eichenwald
A company with tradition
Founded in 1952, IDEAL Eichenwald looks back on a long history. It all started with wood wool: the rest is history.
WOOD WOOL
Back then, the company Holzwolle Eichenwald supplied high-quality wood wool and straw rope to the city of Neuss and the surrounding area. A constant stock of goods guaranteed fast delivery: this is how the company survived for over 25 years.

SPORTING GOODS

WINDSCREENS
Under the company name IDEAL Eichenwald, the family business produced windshields for motorcycles for the first time. They were an instant hit on the market.

Under the name Gustav Eichenwald, the company sold sporting goods such as ski goggles, car ski racks and protective helmets, but also ice hockey pucks, ice skate protectors and table tennis rackets: basically everything a sports enthusiast could desire.

Top right : great joy. Managing Director Anneliese Eichenwald, as she discovers a motorcycle with the original IDEAL windshield on the island of Sylt in 1994.

BUMPERS
Under the name IDEAL de Luxe, rubber bumpers were produced for self-assembly: a good thing that gave the car at least some real safety .

WHITEWALL RINGS
Something for the eyes: To visually enhance the vehicle, whitewall tires made of high-quality rubber were produced. These could be attached to the tires without adhesive, thanks to their inherent tension. For those who wanted even more visual appeal, cheerfully fluttering antenna flags with the IDEAL logo, national, city, state, or club colors were also available to express their deep connection through color.

DOUBLE TONE BELL
Anyone sitting on a vehicle who wanted to give a polite signal could do so with the double-tone bell from IDEAL Eichenwald .

MOTORCYCLE GOGGLES
The superbly fitting, genuine IDEAL motorcycle goggles from the Gustav Eichenwald protective eyewear factory, priced at only 5 DM, made it into the 1953 issue of "Das Motorrad" magazine, where, according to an article about the ADAC anniversary Germany tour, every motorcyclist and scooter rider received a pair of goggles as a gift from a friendly girl while passing through Düsseldorf . This gave many people the IDEAL clear vision .

STEEL PIPE CONDUCTOR
Chic in chrome and steel, the steel tube ladder was exceptional in both material and design. Thanks to its thick rubber ball feet and rubber-coated steps, the slipping hazard common in offices and homes at the time was prevented.

SWIMMING POOL ACCESSORIES
The first swimming pool accessories from the company IDEAL Eichenwald included changing cabins for swimming pool guests so that the apartment always remained clean , the LAS VEGAS hammock, which was comfortable for "her" and attractive for balcony and garden , as well as the first garden shower with insert lance or tripod.

SHIP ACCESSORIES
The company G. Eichenwald GmbH was also highly regarded in the shipping industry. They manufactured bow and stern pulpits, as well as stanchions for safe passage. Their rock-solid yet feather-light boat ladders made of lightweight metal were particularly suitable for smaller sailboats. This quickly led to the idea of also offering entry ladders for swimming pools.

SWIMMING POOL
LADDERS
The FLORIDA, RIVIERA, and BERMUDA models marked the beginning of the deep pool ladder business. The De Luxe series was manufactured at that time from high-quality, elegantly white powder-coated steel or light alloy tubing. The Florida model remains a core part of the IDEAL Eichenwald product range today.
SWIMMING POOL ACCESSORIES
The MARINA, TINA, and MIAMI ladder models were added, along with grab rails, steps, handrails, and safety railings. During the 1980s and 90s, the product range was continuously expanded, making us what we are today: Europe's leading manufacturer of swimming pool and garden accessories.

THEN AS NOW
At G. Eichenwald GmbH & Co. KG, we are proud of our long-standing tradition and that some of our employees have been with us for over thirty years. We are excited about what the future holds, without losing sight of our core values. Then as now: Quality made of stainless steel.
